A new gauge appears onscreen representing how much gravity power you have available, much like the original game you can increase this power by doing tricks and getting gravity capsule items. Also you cannot attack players unless in attack mode so the boost feature as well has been removed in favor of the gravity feature. Attack mode is much like running on foot however you can hurt other players and go much faster than the previous game.
Other new elements come into the fray as well utilizing the gravity feature such as gravity defying shortcuts, and new paths that can be taken while in the new attack mode.
Sonic Rders Zero Gravity is the successor to Sonic Riders, it takes the concept of the riders series and pushes it further by utilizing gravity defying stones.
